In working with providers, who are great in the sessions with their patients, they are unsure of insurance terminology and what to collect from the patient.  As insurance companies are passing more of the patient responsibility to the patient by higher co-payments or larger deductibles.  In this video we will review, what to collect from the patient when the have a deductible.  Namely, what is the patient to pay out-of-pocket to the counselor for psychotherapy.

This is why it is very important to verify the patient benefits prior to the first session.  This allows the

Psychotherapist or Psychiatrist to be aware of the patient responsibility at the time of service.
