As this is the season to give Thanks. How about looking around your immediate surroundings for appreciation.. If you are in a GOOD relationship, when is the last time you hugged that person and said, “ I really like you, thanks for being you.”

As the majority of you on this thread are therapist, you constantly are working with patients who are working on their relationship.. What about yours?? If your spouse has had to prevail/ survive while you were obtaining more education or building your practice, they deserve APPRECIATION!!

Or you have friends and/or family that are going through serious issues with their spouse. In  examining your relationship you can determine that your marital issues are MINOR.  Give thanks for your spouse and appreciate them and possibly you can COMPROMISE with them on some issues to find happiness with your spouse and LIFE. (the grass is not greener on the other side.)

If your parents are still alive, give thanks to them NOW! Give them the REVERENCE while they can hear it for themselves. Just as you don’t believe you children hear you or will ever get “it,” return the lessons learned to your parents.

Love & Appreciate your family and all your blessings while you can, because tomorrow is not promised for any of us.
